We are the Dawoodi Bohra community of Melbourne

The Dawoodi Bohra Community in Melbourne consists of approximately 160 families from all corners of the world. The first Bohras settled in Melbourne in the early 80’s and until 2006, only a handful of families resided there.

Our Community

Melbourne is the coastal capital of the southeastern Australian state of Victoria, also known as ‘The Garden State.’ It is the cultural, educational, manufacturing, sporting and restaurant capital of Australia. The annual AFL footy final and the Melbourne Cup horse race are some of the major events hosted in the city during spring time.

As proud contributors to the city of Melbourne, Dawoodi Bohras work under the auspices of Anjuman-e-Saifee (Melbourne), a registered  charitable trust handling the affairs of the local community and are actively involved in several local community projects.
