Dawoodi Bohra families living in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne distributed donuts to all those attending service at St Mark’s Anglican Church on Sunday, December 18, 2022.
‘We thank Reverend Phillip Knight for accepting our offer. It is indeed heartening to see our communities continue to nurture bonds of friendship and affection for each other’, said a community volunteer.
As a gesture of goodwill, community members commenced the outreach program in early December and sustained it throughout the month. They spread cheer and happiness by distributing gifts to nearly 100 families living in their neighbourhood.
The Dawoodi Bohra community in Melbourne comprises 160 families who are actively involved in several projects including initiatives under the banner of Project Rise, the community’s global philanthropic arm, which aims to foster a peaceful and prosperous society.
